Key Events in the Company’s History

The Volia project was established in 2000, with the assistance of experts from the international investment company SigmaBleyzer, a firm with a proven track record in designing and implementing strategies for doing business and improving company performance. It brought in substantial Western investments, a significant share of which was steered toward the construction of modern optical fiber telecommunication networks, purchase and modernization of advanced digital equipment, and improvement of service quality. It promptly put in operation new cable networks and upgraded old ones and implemented cutting-edge broadband and digital signal transmission technology.

In 2001, Volia created the first call-center in Ukraine to keep its clients informed. On June 1, 2002, the Corporate Code of Volia was approved, and that day became the official birthday of the company, completing its transformation into a full-fledged company with its own mission, vision, development strategy, and structure.

In 2002—2003, Volia launched state-of-the-art technologies and pioneered the implementation of digital cable TV in Eastern Europe and the CIS.
