Why Do We Do This?

At least THREE new cases of children cancer are registered in Ukraine every day. Unofficial statistics certifies that today only 15 % of children with cancer survive in our country. For comparison, in Europe physicians save and return to normal life more than 80% of children!

We want to draw the attention of the public to the problem of cancer, the cause of death of several Ukrainian children every day. You cannot stay away from someone else’s grief, nor can you stay away from someone else’s children. There is just our mercy or indifference.

The main goal of the project is to provide psychological support for little patients in their fight for life. Notwithstanding painful manipulations, children remain children even at an oncological hospital. Toys, celebrations, small gifts, and parties are simple and ordinary things natural to every child, which can make yet another day of a long hospital stay brighter and more joyful. We want to give them this opportunity, for the pain ceases when a child laughs. Even physicians certify that positive emotions work wonders: this is not just a matter of mood; it normalizes blood pressure and raises their Hb level.

We are planning to make this project a long-term one. As long as it is in effect, we are going to actively raise funds for the needs of oncological departments: medications and equipment. This is our second goal. We want to draw to this project as many people as possible, since as soon as we unite our efforts, these children’s chances of survival will be increased a hundred times!

We can make these children want to fight for their future.

Any individual, company, or publishing house may join the project. You can participate in a variety of ways:

  • Provide mass media coverage (unfortunately, mass media often sheer away from writing about this);
  • Give gifts to children with cancer (fruits, vegetables, diary products, juices, toys, books, i.e. the things they lack);
  • Purchase necessary equipment, medications and expendables for oncological departments;
  • Help particular patients who are badly in financial need (see detailed information on our informational partners’ websites donor.org.ua and krab.org.ua);
  • Render financial help to the Krab fund to give targeted aid to children suffering from malignant diseases.

Many of us think that a child with cancer is hopeless and doomed. The truth is that their lives end because of our indifference! Do not cross these children out of your heart! They have a right to live and love, a right to new positive impressions and discoveries. They are doing their best in fighting for this right. We’ve got to help them!

We are waiting for your calls, participation, and suggestions. Join us!
