Kyiv. December 13. UNIAN. The VOLIA data center received a Ukrainian Internet Leaders award, instituted by InternetUA magazine, as the best hosting provider in 2006.

At the award ceremony held on December 12, the organizers announced that Volia won the honorable title for creating a powerful state-of-the-art data center to provide hosting and server rent services in 2006. The data center “offers cutting-edge technology, including backup power supply and conditioning systems compliant with international standards and more than seven kilometers of network cable throughout the data center. Plus, it ensures superb connection speed”, emphasized the organizers of the Ukrainian Internet Leaders award, explaining their choice of the winner.

According to InternetUA, the existence of a wide range of reliable collocation and hosting services is essential for the development of the Ukrainian Internet market, “especially as large providers are running out of space to add new servers.”

The VOLIA data center is a division of VOLIA, providing server hosting (hardware hosting, collocation, and dedicated server), using a specially equipped service platform, and Internet connection. A subscriber can put web-sites, mail, and other services and information on the server. He or she is provided with a standard configuration server for as long as they are using the service. If needed, the subscriber can replace a standard server with his/her own. There is no extra charge for server installation.

The subscriber can use the server at his/her own discretion, put any information on the server and install any software, keeping in mind that:

• The subscriber bears all responsibility for the information he/she puts on the server, including responsibility for use of unlicensed software.
• The server must be used in compliance with Ukrainian laws and Network Use Guidelines (OFISP-008).
• There are no other limitations.

The Ukrainian Internet Leaders award was instituted by the editorial board of InternetUA magazine to honor the most dynamic and successful companies that earned appreciation and recognition in 2006.
The award organizers gave credit to the most dynamic portals and web-sites, providers for their technological achievements and those who stirred the public’s interest with their ingenious solutions and fast growth.
