Social Resposibility

Social Responsibility

Volia is a socially responsible company. One goal we strive to accomplish is to build a new business environment in Ukraine, one based on transparency, impeccable reputation, and social responsibility. Business cannot be isolated from society, and development of society is unthinkable without high-quality education and use of modern technology.

On June 1, 2002 Volia approved company by-laws. An important principle driving the company’s performance is the reliability and stability of service for our clients, including:

  • consistency of service quality with the highest international technical standards
  • high-quality customer service
  • conformity to the law
  • continuous upgrading of technical quality standards
  • continuous maintenance and network monitoring
  • long-term contracts with suppliers and contractors
  • use of cutting-edge telecommunications technology

Corporate Culture

A key indicator of a socially responsible business is the development of corporate culture. Moral values, integrity, and responsibility are the underlying principles of our business. Overall company reliability is the sum of the behavior of each and every employee. We encourage:

  • HIGH MORAL VALUES: the company forbids illegal and unethical practices which may damage its reputation;
  • INTEGRITY: one must be honest to oneself and other team members not only in triumph but also in hardships;
  • RESPONSIBILITY: when making a decision, one must keep in mind possible consequences for oneself, fellow team members, clients, and the company.

The Global Compact

In November 2006 Volia became a member of The Global Compact Ukraine Network. The Global Compact Ukraine initiative was successfully launched by the United Nations in Ukraine in April 2006 with the support of leading Ukrainian and multinational companies and senior representatives of Government. Following on from the launch, the total number of GC members has reached 47. Currently the Global Compact Ukraine having as its members 26 multinational and large Ukrainian companies, 10 business associations, 2 federation of employers and trade unions, 3 small and medium enterprises and 6 non-governmental organizations and other organizations are joining. The mission of the GC network Ukraine is to promote corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives in Ukraine in line with the 10 Global Compact principles in four key areas of action - human rights and labour standards, environmental sustainability and anti-corruption.
